Suspension mixing process for high-performance concrete

The research project "Development of a new suspension mixing process and an innovative inclined position mixer for the production of high-performance concretes" aims to optimize the production of concrete mixtures through new mixing processes and technologies. The main points of the innovations presented are

  • Development of an innovative suspension mixing process to prevent agglomeration of particles and achieve faster, more homogeneous mixing.

  • Use of a single mixer instead of two separate ones to reduce the amount of equipment required.

  • Targeted energy input in the respective mixing phases to reduce energy consumption.

  • Adaptation to different types of concrete, such as self-compacting concrete (SCC), high-strength concrete (UHPC), acid-resistant building materials, fiber-reinforced concrete, lightweight concrete or self-cleaning concrete.
